The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Goa tomorrow as the monsoon is expected to reach the coastal state.
"The conditions are favourable for advancing of the monsoon. As per our forecast, it will set over Goa tomorrow (June 11)," said Director of Goa Meteorological Centre V K Mini.
The weather bulletin issued today forecast that heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over Goa today, tomorrow and day after tomorrow.
"Winds will be westerly to south-westerly at a speed of 45-50 km per hour. Sea will be rough with westerly to south-westerly waves.
"Fishermen are advised not to go out in the sea during the next 24 hours," the weatherman said.

The MeT has warned fishermen against venturing out in the sea.
