However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said sluggish demand from retailers at current levels mainly kept pressure on moong and gram prices.
They said reports that government was planning to boost pulses supplies in the market to rein in prices, also influenced sentiment.
In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,400-8,100 and Rs 8,200-8,700 per quintal respectively.

Gram eased by Rs 50 to Rs 4,580-5,330 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality declined by Rs 80 and Rs 100 to Rs 4,900-5,100 and Rs 5,000-5,300 per quintal respectively.
