Traders said besides rising demand from retailers, restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly led to the rise in moong and masoor prices.
In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,900-6,900 and Rs 6,800-7,300 per quintal respectively. Moong dal choya local and best quality also traded higher by the same margin to Rs 6,800-7,100 and Rs 7,600-7,700 per quintal respectively.

Urad 5,700-6,500, Urad Chilka (local) 7,200-7,400, best 7,400-8,000, Dhoya 7,800-8,200, Moong 5,900-6,900, Dal Moong Chilka local 6,800-7,300, Moong Dhoya local 6,800-7,100 and best quality 7,600-7,700.
Masoor small 5,550-5,850, bold 5,550-5,900, Dal Masoor local 6,600-6,700, best quality 6,700-6,800, Malka local 6,200-6,500, best 6,400-6,500, Moth 4,800-5,100, Arhar 4,850- 5,150, Dal Arhar Dara 6,250-6,550.
