Moong, moth rise in mixed trading

In a mixed pattern of trading, prices of moong and moth rose on the back of buying by stockists following pick up in demand from local parties against limited arrivals from producing regions.
However, arhar and gram eased on lack of buying support.
Traders said rising demand from retailers against decline in supplies from producing region mainly pushed up moong and moth prices.
In the national capital, moong surged to Rs 6,800-7,300 from previous level of Rs 6,400-6,900 per quintal. Its dal chilka local, best quality and dhoya were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,400-7,900, Rs 7,400-7,700 and Rs 8,200-8,300 per quintal respectively.
Malka local and best quality followed suit and edged up by Rs 200 each to Rs 8,100-8,450 and Rs 8,200-8,500 per quintal.
Moth also jumped up by Rs 300 to Rs 5,500-5,800 per quintal.

On the other hand, arhar and its dal dara variety eased by Rs 100 each to Rs 9,450-9,600 and Rs 11,000-11,100 per quintal respectively on easing demand at prevailing levels.
Gram, gramdal local and best quality were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,750-5,600, Rs 5,200-5,400 and Rs 5,300-5,600 per quintal respectively. Besign Shaktibhog and Rajdhani quoted lower at Rs 2,200 instead of Rs 2,250 per 35 kg bag respectively.
