Master storyteller Ruskin Bond has said that more engaging stories are needed to draw the undivided attention of children from page one itself.
Bond, known for his literary collections like 'The Room on the Roof' and 'Mr Olivers Diary', was discussing his experience of writing for children in the session, "Growing with Ruskin Bond", at the Tata Steel Jharkhand Literary Meet (JLM) which concluded here on Sunday.
The renowned author also expressed his happiness at the growth of literary forums such as JLM, as these help to bring together readers and writers alike.
Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Harivansh Narayan Singh, emphasised on the importance of Gandhian philosophy as the means to create a better world.
Singh was speaking in the session on "Bhavishya Ka Ek Vikalp Hain Mahatma Gandhi", at the JLM on Sunday.
