The projects includes dedication of ITI at Chopal and road from Kupvi to Bhalu besides laying of foundation stones of 60 KV Sub-Station at Lashtadhar near Chopal and Lift Water Supply Scheme to various uncovered habitations at Nagdhar.
Addressing a public meeting at Kupvi, Dhumal said the Naib Tehsildar of Kupvi would be given the powers of Tehsildar to oversee various revenue and administrative services to the people and also said the BDO would be camping at Kupvi to supervise developmental activities in area.
Referring to price rise, he said that to give relief to people, the state government was giving subsidy of Rs 140 crore to every ration card holder for purchasing essential commodities and Rs 190 crore for subsidising domestic power tariff.
He said the horticulture sector had been strengthened by launching Rs 85 crore Apple Replantation Scheme to increase the crop yield, which was only 5 to 7 tonne per hectare in the state compared to 50 to 60 tonnes in apple growing foreign countries.
Dhumal claimed that the state government had succeeded in bridging the gap between the rich and the poor through various schemes launched during the last four years.
He said that after strengthening road network in the state, the government was exploring possibilities of boring traffic tunnels in different places not only to reduce distances but contribute towards environment protection.
