The city had received 3.6-mm rainfall till 8:30 A.M. Today with very light rain and thunder storm likely to occur during the remainder of the day as well, the MeT department said.
The minimum recored this morning represents a sharp fall from yesterday's figure of 30.5 degrees.
The observatory at Palam also registered a fall in the mercury with the minimum recorded at 22.6 degrees. The Ayanagar and Ridge area observatories posted minimums of 22 and 21.3 degrees, respectively.
The day temperature today is expected to be at around 34 degrees, which would mark a major drop from yesterday's maximum of 41.1 degrees.
The MeT department has, however, forecast a rise in temperatures tomorrow.
"The maximum and minimum likely tomorrow is 39 and 28 degrees, respectively," a MeT official said.
