More than 20 movies to be screened at Poetry Film Festival

The fourth edition of Asia's first and only poetry film festival, the Sadho Poetry Film Festival, will screen more than 20 movies this year.
The two-day event is being held today and tomorrow (December 11 and 12) here.
The Sadho Poetry Film Festival is organized in the capital every alternate year. There are five types of film that will be shown this year- poetry films, poetic films, sign language poetry films, poetry discourse films and film on poets.
Sadho will be showcasing poetry films from five continents - North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Some of the countries featured this time are US, Canada, Argentina, Egypt, Israel, UK, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Denmark and France.
The average length of the films is about five minutes.
American filmmaker of Indian origin, Ram Devineni, will also be there to introduce some of the films that he and his friends have contributed to Sadho over the years.
This time viewers of the festival can not only see the films, but will also get to vote for the the film that they liked the most. Based on their opinion the only award of the festival The Viewers' Choice Award will be given to a filmmaker.
Sadho is a voluntary organization that aims to promote poetry. Sadho also has material exchange partnerships with other important organizations and festivals that focus on this genre of films in other parts of the world.
