"I know him (Sachin) quite well. He is a great cricketer but the main thing I like about him is that he is a great person and a good human being. I think that is much more valuable about him than his cricket," Rahul said here.
Tendulkar, who is playing in his final series, will bid bid adieu to the game after featuring in his 200th Test against the visiting West Indies to be played in Mumbai from November 14-18.
"I am very fond of him and I wish him very best," he said.
