Successful former East Bengal coach Trevor Morgan is likely to be India-bound as he's in the process of inking a deal with IMG-Reliance to take charge of its upcoming month-long intensive training camp beginning in Mumbai later this week.
The Perth-based Englishman, currently holidaying with his family, today said he was in talks with the IMG-R for their upcoming franchise-based league.
"Yes, I'm in talks with IMG-Reliance, but nothing has been finalised. There is a 50-50 possibility," Morgan told PTI from Perth.
A source close to Morgan, however, said the Englishman was waiting to receive the contract letter from IMG-R.
"Only some formal paperwork needs to be completed and it may happen anytime, as the camp is beginning later this week. Morgan knows the Indian players and is aware of the conditions so the Englishman is IMG-R's priority," the source said.
While Morgan would be the chief coach of the training camp, he would be assisted by five other support staff including a physio.
The IMG-R has signed up 37 players who will undergo training at the Cooperage ground from August 3.
Players who are part of the national set-up which includes the likes of Gouramangi Singh, Syed Rahim Nabi, Subrata Paul and Sandesh Jhingan will be released for the national camp, if selected, and the friendly against Tajikistan.
