Mortal remains of Belgium blast victim Raghavendran arrives

Mortal remains of the lone Indian victim of the March 22 terror attacks in Brussels, Raghavendran Ganeshan, arrived here today.
Parents of the deceased, Ganeshan and Annapoorani, and his younger brother, Chandrasekaran, accompanied the remains which arrived from Amsterdam via Dubai.
About 20 relatives of the victim were present at the airport.
Raghavendran was employed with IT major Infosys and was a resident of Mumbai. It was not immediately known where the final rites will be held.
State government officials have taken steps for completion of formalities for receiving the body.
Raghavendran, whose wife and son are in Chennai, had been missing since the deadly Brussels bombings and was yesterday confirmed dead in the blast in the metro at Maelbeek station.
At least 35 people were killed and over 300 were injured in the attacks at Brussels Airport and Maelbeek metro station.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and DMK President M Karunanidhi condoled his death.
"It is extremely tragic that Thiru (Mr) Raghavendran Ganeshan, who was working in Brussels, fell an innocent victim to a mindless act of terrorism," the Chief Minister said.
Karunanidhi expressed his sympathies for Raghavendran's family and friends.
