Most offices are likely to be closed on Tuesday, April 8, due to Ram Navami, and on Thursday, April 10, when polling is scheduled in Delhi. By taking leave on two days -- Wednesday and Friday -- many office-goers can get six straight days of holidays, including the weekend.
"Those days have gone when election day was treated as a day of leisure. Delhiites who love to escape the capital for a short trip would not like to skip their voting plans as they are more enthusiastic about the political process," Assocham Secretary General D S Rawat said.
Almost 78 per cent of the respondents cited corruption, price rise and women's safety as the issues worrying them the most, besides the current economic situation and lack of job safety.
