Most foodgrain prices move upwards

Prices of urad dal and gram dal increased, while moong dal, sugar and sooji moved down as the remaining commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrain market here today.
Urad dal and gram dal rose by Rs.200 and Rs.300 per quintal each to Rs 12,000 and Rs 10,500 from its previous rate of Rs 11,800 and Rs 10,200 respectively.
Likewise, moong dal and suger went down by Rs 100 and Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 7,500 and Rs 3,850 from Rs 7,600 and Rs 3,900, while sooji (90 kg) decreased by Rs 200 to Rs 3,200 from Rs 3,400.
However, thoor dal, wheat and maida maintained their previous levels.
Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (rates in rupees per quintal, unless stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 12,000, Urad Dal Rs 12,000, Moong Dal Rs 7,500, Gram Dal Rs 10,500, Sugar Rs 3,850, Wheat Rs 2,900, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,700 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,200.
