The incident occurred when four dacoits tried to snatchcash and valuables from Mala Devi, who was at the statioalong with her one-year-old child, last night.
Before decamping, the bandits tried to slit the throats ofthe mother and the baby.
Both the victims, who were profusely bleeding, were admitted to a hospital.
