Mother-child killed in road mishap

Two members of a family, including an infant, were killed and one other critically injured this morning after the motorcycle which they were riding on was hit by a truck on Mirzapur-Varanasi road here, police said.
25-year-old Sangeeta was travelling to Varanasi with her husband and two-month-old baby when the mishap took place, they said.
The two-wheeler was hit by a speeding truck from behind killing the child on the spot, while the woman was taken to a hospital in Chunar where she succumbed to injuries.
Her husband was critically injured and admitted to a hospital.
