The company was earlier selling refined vegetable oil and kachi ghani mustard oil under 'Dhara' brand in 200 ml tetra pack and plastic bottle nationally. However, these two volumes were discontinued around eight months ago.

Launching the new packets, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt Ltd Business Head (Dhara) Sanjeev Giri said: "There are still customers who opt for loose edible oil for their daily consumption and is a worrying factor for many reasons. Hence we at Dhara thought to cater to this segment who buys its cooking oil almost on a daily basis."

With the launch of the 'nano packs', the company will make more people opting for safe and quality oil, he added.

"We have been witnessing a rise in the branded and packed edible oil market in the last couple of years. The space for branded and packed oil in the cooking segment is growing around 6 per cent," Giri said.
