Fatima Nafees met the LG at Raj Niwas and demanded that the police stepped up efforts to find her son who has been missing since October 15.
Ahmed (27), a student of School of Biotechnology in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and a native of Badaun in Uttar Pradesh, was reported missing on October 15 following an on-campus brawl allegedly with the members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the students' wing of the BJP, the night before.
Earlier in the day, Fatima had met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh who had assured her of all assistance in the matter.
On October 31, she had met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who had assured her that his government would use all its resources to trace her son.

"I am with you and will do whatever is required to help trace him. It is a very serious matter and the government will use all its resources to help you out," the chief minister had told her.
Alleging inaction on part of the administration in tracing Najeeb, Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) has been staging protests.
The protesting students had even confined the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the university and other senior officials in the administrative building for over 20 hours on one occasion.
