Mother-son killed in house collapse

A woman and her son were killed when a tree fell over their house here, police said today.
Yashoda and her 14-year-old son Sanjay were killed when the dry old pine tree fell over their house late last evening, Sub-Inspector J S Aswal said.
Locals rushed them to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead, he said.
Luckily, two other children of the woman who happened to be in another room at the time of the accident had a narrow escape, he said, adding an ex gratia of Rs 3,800 has been immediately paid to the next of kin of the deceased.
