Mother, son murdered in Kanpur Dehat

Battered bodies of a mother-son duo were found in Rasoolabad's Tishti Village in the neighbouring Kanpur Dehat District, police said.
Bodies of the victims, identified as Rajwati (65) and her son, Vijay Bahadur, were found yesterday morning by Vijay's sister, police said.
While the son's body was found on a bedstead outside his home, the mother's body was found lying in fields some distance away from their residence in Tishti Village, they said.
Kanpur Dehat SP Virendra Bahadur Singh reached the crime scene and a forensic examination of the area has been done.
Prima facie, the duo seemed to have been beaten to death with bricks and iron rods, police said, adding a case of murder has been registered against unknown people and the bodies have been sent for postmortem.

They however said, the cause of the murder has not been ascertained.
Singh said that a crim branch and three teams of police have been constituted to investigate into the case.
