Motherson Sumi shares up over 2 pc after Q4 results

Shares of auto component maker Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (MSSL) today rose by over 2 per cent after the company reported 20.20 per cent increase in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March.
The stock ended at Rs 432.65, up 2.40 per cent on BSE. During the day, it climbed 4.37 per cent to Rs 441 -- its 52- week high.
On NSE, shares of the company moved up by 2.26 per cent to close at Rs 433.20.
On the volume front, 6 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 47 lakh shares changed hands on NSE during the day.
Motherson Sumi Systems on Friday reported 20.20 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 705.86 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 587.19 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal.
Net sales during the period under review stood at Rs 11,319.01 crore as against Rs 9,841.60 crore in the year-ago period, up 15 per cent.
