"A motorable road to Marwah via Margon Top will be completed by October this year and with it the long pending demand of people of this region will be fulfilled," minister of state for Home, Industries and Commerce, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo said while addressing a public meeting, after laying the foundation stone of Inshan-Basmina motorable road.
The state government is committed to providing road connectivity to all inaccessible and remote areas, he said.
Kichloo also chaired a high level meeting of district and sectoral officers at Guzar Inshan and asked officials to work towards uplifting the people of this backward region.
He also instructed the Chief Agricultural Officer to frame a comprehensive plan for potato cultivation in the area.
Speaking on horticultural sector, Kichloo observed that the region was perfect for walnut and apricot production and both Horticultural and Rural Development departments should dovetail their respective schemes and ensure plantation of best quality fruit trees, soil testing and other research activities for the purpose.
