Pang, 30, from Liuzhou City of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was caught in Nanning, capital of Guangxi, and sent back to capital Beijing yesterday.
He was detained for dangerous driving, said a spokesperson with the Beijing Traffic Administration Bureau.
The clip, viewed more than 220,000 times on popular video sharing website Youku, shows the motorcyclist darting along the 37.5-km second ring road in 13 minutes and 43 seconds.
His maximum speed nearly tripled the limit on the ring road, where motorcycles are banned from the road's major lanes.

Pang claimed his "personal best" for a lap of the second ring road was 11 minutes.
Pang's thrill-seeking followed a high-profile race between a Ferrari and a Lamborghini in April in Beijing.
Both vehicles were severely damaged when they careened through a tunnel guardrail before smashing into walls at speeds of more than 160 kilometers per hour.
