A bus was set on fire by irked locals after it collided head-on and killed a motorcyclist at Amdanga in North 24 Parganas district today.
Sub-divisional police officer Subir Chatterjee said the accident on NH 24 led to the death of the 35-year-old motorcylist on the spot.
Angry locals then set the bus on fire but the driver and the conductor managed to escape, he said.
None of the passengers were injured.
The fire was doused by the fire brigade, he added.
