Equipped with a larger display, better camera specifications and a fingerprint sensor, the Moto G4 will compete with devices of firms like Xiaomi, Meizu, Micromax and Lenovo.
"The new Moto G4 packs in a larger screen, better camera and larger battery life. We want to give the best features at affordable price to the Indian consumers. The MotoG is by far our best selling series so far," Motorola Mobility India Country Head Amit Boni said.
The Moto G4 is also the first device to be launched with eCommerce major Amazon.In. Previously, all Motorola handsets and smartwatches were launched in India with Amazon. In's rival, Flipkart.
The fourth generation of Moto G will have two versions -- Moto G4 (without fingerprint sensor and 13MP rear camera) and Moto G4 Plus (with the sensor).
