The film was in news over speculations of actors like Imran Khan, Sidharth Malhotra being approached for it.
Harshvardhan, who made his acting debut with "Mirzya", will be seen in an interesting character in "Bhavesh Joshi" and the "Lootera" director is happy with the actor's job.
"I am very happy with Harshvardhan's work. I am glad I made this movie with him. It's a vigilante film and he has done complete justice to the script," Motwane said in a statement here.
"It's (film) shaping up really well and I am happy with the way it has turned out so far. It's been one of my most exciting films I have worked on," he said.
Produced by Phantom Films, the movie is likely to be released around this year-end.
