As the five-day session began today, Speaker Sitasharan Sharma and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan mourned the death of Leader of Opposition Satyadev Katare, three former Governors and others as listed in the business of the House.
However, acting Leader of Opposition in the House Bala Bachchan also condoled the deaths of people who lost their lives in the queues at the banks.
He also paid homage to Bhopal jail head constable Ramashanker Yadav, who was allegedly killed by SIMI activists before they escaped from the prison on the intervening night of October 30-31. The eight SIMI activists were later killed in an alleged encounter with police here.
The victims of demonetisation and the name of Bhopal jail head constable Yadav were not mentioned in the listed business of the House.
Meanwhile, the Assembly condoled the deaths of Leader of Opposition Satyadev Katare, MP's former Governors Ram Naresh Yadav, Mohammad Shafi Qureshi and Bhai Mahavir, its former members Vidhyadhar Joshi, Lalta Prasad Khare, Rao Deshraj Singh Yadav, Sevaram Gupta and former Union Ministers Arif Baig, Jaywantiben Mehta, MGK Menon and the victims of the Indore-Patna train derailment which occurred near Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur on November 20.
