MP BJP to take stern action against rebel poll candidates

Madhya Pradesh BJP today said it would take stern action against its rebel leaders who continue to be in the fray for the January 31 civic polls in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Chhindwara despite the party not giving them ticket.
"We won't compromise on discipline in the party in the civic body elections. All men have to abide by party discipline. Even indiscipline from big leaders won't be tolerated," Madhya Pradesh state BJP chief Nandkumar Chauhan told reporters here.
Asked to comment on Congress leaders who are joining BJP in the run up to the polls, he said Congress is a "sinking ship".

"They are jumping a sinking ship and joining BJP. We are inducting them into the party to ensure that BJP president Amit Shah's dream of a Congress-free India is achieved," he said.
Chauhan said that BJP is fighting elections on the development plank and expressed hope that the party would sweep the polls.
He also dismissed reports that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his Cabinet colleague Kailash Vijayvargiya have differences.
