MP cabinet meeting focusing on Simhastha Kumbh soon

Madhya Pradesh government will soon organise a Cabinet meeting focusing on the upcoming Simhastha (Kumbh) Mela in Ujjain.
"A meeting of state's Cabinet focusing on Simhastha will be held in Ujjain soon, during which Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will unveil a number of completed works," state Transport Minister and in-charge of Ujjain for the mega religious fair, Bhupendra Singh said today.
The Cabinet had earlier met on a cruise boat at Hanumantiya island, located near Indira Sagar dam, to promote tourism.
The Transport Minister yesterday inspected the ongoing construction works at Ujjain in the run up to the month-long Simhatha Mela to be held from April 22 to May 21.
He inspected construction of MR-10 bridge built at a cost Rs 25 crore, Purushottam Sagar at Indira Nagar, beautification of Chyavaneshwar Mahadev on the banks of a lake, railway overbridge linking Ghas Mandi crossing to Hira Mill Chawl and widening of road from railway station to Neelganga Padao.
The minister expressed satisfaction on the progress of works.
Simhastha central committee chairman Makhan Singh, Mayor Meena Jonwal, MLAs Mohan Yadav and Anil Firojiya, chairman of Ujjain Development Authority Jagdish Agrawal among others were present on the occasion.
