A similar service was launched last year on an experimental basis during the Simhastha Mela held in Ujjain.
"The experiment of 'rent-a-motorcycle' service was successful in Ujjain during the Kumbh Mela last year. On the same lines, it will be launched across the state soon," MP transport minister Bhupendra Singh told reporters here today.
As part of the service, bike riders will take tourists, from one destination to another in the crowded parts of the city, he said.
It will be available on mobile app platforms on the lines of cab aggregator services and necessary directives have been given to transport department officials to develop a framework on this.

"Permits would be given to IT companies for running this service. Priority would be given to those companies, which would offer the facility through IT solutions like website or mobile app," the minister said.
He apprised that the two-wheelers would be GPS and GPRS enabled, through which their movement could be tracked and monitored.
The service would provide commuters a relief from traffic snarls, Singh added.
