He took part in rituals organised at the Shiva temple which is believed to have been founded by Maharshi Jamdagni, the father of Lord Parashuram, some 40 km from Indore district headquarters.
Later, he took a round of the holy place and saw the pond situated on the hilltop, adjacent to the temple of Parashuram who is considered the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
"Money will never be a hurdle in developing Janapav and it will be developed as a major eco-religious tourism centre of the state," he told at a gathering of the faithful.
Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Indore district panchayat president Kavita Patidar, MLA Ramesh Mendola and others were present at the function.
