The 'Janashirwad Yatra' will commence from Ujjain on July 22 and culminate in Bhopal on October 4 during which it will traverse through all the 230 Assembly seats in the state, senior BJP leader and in-charge of the yatra, Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, told reporters.
Answering a question, Chouhan said that during a meeting to review the preparations for the yatra, no discussion took place on the issue of inviting Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for taking part in it.
Another BJP vice president, Prabhat Jha has been given an important task of deciding the yatra's contours and arrangements, he said.
During the yatra, Chouhan will rest for two days in a week and during that time only he will also discharge his official duties, he said.
Described the ongoing 'Parivartan Yatra' of Congress as a 'damp squib', Chouhan said his party is not over-confident and therefore it is organising the Janashirwad Yatra.
