Leading the protest in Bhopal, State Congress President, Kantilal Bhuria, alleged that illegal mining and rampant corruption had crossed all limits.
Referring to law and order situation, Bhuria alleged that it has worsened with atrocities being committed on farmers, dalits, women and tribals.
He also alleged that illegal mining mafias were given protection by the ruling BJP and demanded a CBI probe in the matter.
The Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh who led the protest at Jabalpur alleged that land prices in the state have increased manifold as many BJP leaders were engaged in the real estate business.
He also alleged that the recent IT raids at the premises of two businessmen having close links with the ruling BJP has exposed the government.
The protests were also held in other division and district headquarters in the state.
