The prosecution today requested Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Savita Singh to record the 18-year-old girl's statement under Section 164 of the CrPC to which the court agreed and asked her to be present on December 5 before it.
Shah had stepped down as MPCA joint secretary a few days back after being accused of sexual harassment by the under-19 woman cricketer.
The girl had alleged that Shah called her to his room at the Holkar Stadium Administrative Block on September 23 to give "special blessings". She had accused Shah of allegedly trying to molest her when she went to his office.
The police sources said Shah has been absconding since the case was registered against him and they have not been able to find any proof to nail him.
Meanwhile, hearing on a petition from Shah, the Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court asked the prosecution to inform it about the status of the case by tomorrow.
Shah's lawyer claimed that the girl has falsely implicated his client as she was not selected in the under-19 team of the state.
