MP favours reservation for women passengers in flights

Airlines should reserve seats for women passengers travelling alone in domestic and international flights, a member in the Lok Sabha said today.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Gajanan Chandrakant Kirtikar (Shiv Sena) suggested that women passengers should not be made to sit on middle seats in the aircraft with males on both the sides.
"It causes inconvenience to them...There should be reserved seats for women passengers in domestic and international flights", he demanded.
Ranjeet Ranjan (Cong) said that as part of cleanliness drive, the government to take steps to deal with problem of unauthorised shelters near traffic signals in the capital.

BJP member Jagdambika Pal said that centre should look into the problems of as many as 1.70 lakh teachers in Uttar Pradesh who have not received salary for the past eight months. These teachers were removed from service by the High Court as they did not have the requisite teachers training certificate.
Pal further said that many of them have obtained the requisite certificate through distant learning programme and hence should be appointed as regular teachers.

Jugal Kishore Sharma (BJP) demanded that railways should expedite work for construction of three additional platforms at Jammu station.
Udit Raj (BJP) said there should be no demotion of government employees belonging SC and ST who had received promotion under the reservation quota.

He further said that as many as 2 lakh government employees were impacted by the High Court ruling which ordered demotion of such employees.
Kaushlendra Kumar (JD-U) urged the Centre to expeditiously release funds for effective implement of the MNREGA scheme in Bihar.
Dushyant Chautala (INLD) demanded that a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) be set up at Hisar for convenience of people.
