Under the scheme, the state government would make all the arrangements to construct sheds for the cattle, officials said.
At these shelters, arrangement to provide pure water to the cattle would be done and special attention would be given on the cleanliness aspect, they said.
"Since these animals cannot express themselves, there is a need to work for them with serious and sensitive manner," officials said quoting Agriculture Production Commissioner Madanmohan Upadhyaya.
They said the state government would also launch an 'embryo transplantation programme' for animals in the state.
