NBA leader Alok Agrawal told reporters here that as per the GRA order, which came yesterday, the claim by state government as well as by the Narmada Hydro-Electric Development Corporation (NHDC) that all the project-affected people had been rehabilitated was false.
He said that his organisation welcomed the GRA order, which will go a long way in ensuring a better life for the affected persons.
"After the GRA order, rights of the project-affected people, to get land, has not been affected in any way," he said.
Meanwhile, when asked about the GRA order, NHDC director Rajneesh Vaish said that most of the Omkareshwar project- affected people had utilised the cash which was given to them as compensation, because of which, they were not entitled to get any land.
Vaish, however, said that if they deposited the money they had been earlier paid, they could be allotted land from the land bank.
