MP govt to reconsider decision on IMFL sale in shops

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said his government will reconsider the decision to allow sale of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) at the shops selling country-made liquor.
The state Cabinet in its recent meeting decided to allow sale of IMFL from the existing country liquor shops which was criticised by the members of ruling as well as Opposition parties on the ground that the BJP had promised in its manifesto not to open any new liquor shop in the state.
"We have taken the decision to allow sale of foreign liquor from the country liquor shops after applying mind on the issue. However, now we have decided to reconsider the decision after hearing our heart's voice," Chouhan told reporters in the state Assembly's press room.
The state government was facing lot of criticism on the issue since it took a decision on the matter.
