The Madhya Pradesh High Court today named three members of the special investigation team (SIT) which will monitor the probe into the MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) admission/recruitment scam.
The SIT will be headed by retired High Court judge Chandresh Bhushan. Former BSF official Vijay Raman and former Deputy Director General of National Informatics Centre CLM Reddy would be its other two members.
A division bench of Chief Justice Ajay Khanvilkar and Justice Alok Aradhe asked the High Court Registrar General to seek the nominee's willingness to be on the SIT by the week-end.
The SIT will oversee the MP Special Task Force's ongoing investigation.
On November 5, the HC had said it will form an SIT to monitor the probe, while disposing of petitions of Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh and others, seeking a CBI probe.
The scam allegedly involves use of fraudulent means to get admission to the medical courses, and recruitment in government departments through fraudulent manner.
The High Court today also directed the state government to provide complete logistical assistance to all the members of the SIT, and scheduled the next hearing for November 17.
