MP: Lokayukta police conduct raids on housed of govt official

The Lokayukta police today conducted raids at two houses of an official of Narmada Valley Development Authority at Barwani and Gwalior, and recovered assets worth over Rs 90 lakh that were disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted searches at the residences of agriculture development and extension officer Rajendra Kumar Saral, at present posted with NVDA at Barwani, said lokayukta superintendent of police Santosh Singh Gaur.
Title documents of three agricultural lands, a residential plot, two houses, a car and as many as 40 insurance policies were found in the searches, Gaur said.
The aggregate value of his assets discovered so far was Rs 90 lakh, Gaur said, adding that further probe was on.
