Madhya Pradesh Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah, who resigned from the cabinet today in the wake of his indecent remarks against women, blamed the media for presenting his statement in a distorted manner.
In his resignation letter, Shah blamed the media for presenting his statement at Jhabua in a distorted manner and clarified that he had not said anything derogatory or against "Bhabhiji" - Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's wife Sadhna Singh.
"I can't even think of doing so in my dreams, but my words were presented in a distorted manner by the media," he calimed in his resignation letter addressed to Chouhan, copies of which were made available to reporters.
He urged the Chief Minister to go through the CD of his speech to understand things crystal clearly.
He said that he is a dedicated worker of the BJP which is supreme for him and that he cannot bear any damage to the party or to Chouhan in the wake of his statement, due to which he is quitting the Cabinet on his own.
However, BJP sources said that Shah's fate was sealed soon after MP BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar and General Secretary (Organisation) Arvind Menon watched the CD of his controversial speech, after which he was asked to quit.
