MP polls: 226 LS candidates in 31-50 age bracket

Of the 378 candidates in fray for 29 Lok Sabha constituencies in Madhya Pradesh where elections were held last month, 226 are in 31-50 years age group, including 113 candidates each in 31-40 and 41-50 age brackets.
The oldest candidate is 75-year-old independent Baba Abdul Hameed Khan in Khandwa Lok Sabha constituency, an official release said here today.
Master Sajid Siddiqui of Social Democratic Party in Bhopal and BJP candidate Laxminarayan Yadav from Sagar Lok Sabha seat are both 73 years old.
Similarly, two candidates of minimum 25 years of age are in the fray, including independent Brahmanand Pratap Singh in Sidhi and independent Udai Pratap Singh in Hoshangabad. Khangar Neeraj contesting in Tikamgarh is 26 years old.
In other age groups, 36 candidates are in 25-30 age group, 68 in 51-60 age group, 39 in 61-70 age bracket and nine candidates in 71-75 age group, the release added.
