The MP Technical Education Department has decided to make papers of engineering in Hindi along with English in technical colleges affiliated to the state's Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) from next session, a Public Relations Department official said today.
"Students can write the papers either in English or Hindi as per their choice. This was stated by Higher and Technical Education Minister Umashankar Gupta at a meeting of officers of private universities on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) at RGPV here yesterday," the official said.
He also launched e-thesis/dissertation submission system and directed to upload on website old research papers.
RGPV vice-chancellor Piyush Trivedi informed that through CBCS, students will be free to choose courses as per their talent and academic capacities.
CBCS maintains coordination of courses with liberalisation and globalisation. It provides mobility to students to continue their studies in any institution throughout the world by transferring their credits.
Besides offering choice of courses to students, CBCS also gives autonomy to institutions in selection of courses. They would be free to continue old pattern also. Students of all categories will benefit from this system ensuring open learning atmosphere on the choice of students, he added.
