The admission of six more MBBS students allegedly involved in the MP Professional Examination Board's (MPPEB) Pre-Medical Test (PMT) scam has been cancelled by the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College.
MGM sources said that these students had taken admission in the college after clearing PMT-2008 by using 'unfair' means.
Among them one of the students has cleared her MBBS course and has become a qualified doctor but the administration has written to the Medical Coucil of India (MCI) to cancel her registration number.
So far, the college administration has cancelled the admission of 90 students who were admitted in the college between 2008-2013 with their parents paying hefty amounts for ensuring that they clear PMT.
The MPPEB has already cancelled their PMT results following which the Medical Education Department directed the MGM college administration to cancel their admissions.
