"The MPSC is pleased to inform that the NIC is requested to include a 'marks information' page which will cater exclusively to any individual candidate who wishes to view his/her marks privately, obtained in the written examination of the personal interview," Commission's Chairman L M Sangma said in a statement to the media.
The decision was taken after an urgent meeting which deliberated at length the pros and cons of uploading the marks, Sangma said.

commission after seeking legal advice and referring to the RTI Act which has also aggressively pointed out in one of the communications received from candidates who wanted the MPSC to follow the UPSC style of uploading marks in its website," Sangma stated.
With regards to uploading marks for public viewing, the chairman said candidates who wish to do so have to approach the MPSC with relevant details and willingness to have their marks uploaded for public viewing in the website.
