Mumabi beat Railways by 10 wickets in Ranji Trophy

Riding on Tushar Deshpande's five-wicket haul, defending champions Mumbai registered a comfortable 10-wicket win over Railways and grabbed six points in their Ranji Trophy Group A match here today.
On the fourth day, Deshpande snapped three wickets -- Faiz Ahmed (28), Ashish Yadav (26) and DN Bansal (3) -- to go with the two wickets he had taken yesterday, while Shardul Thakur, Vijay Gohil and Balwinder Sandhu picked up one wicket each to dismiss Railways for 208 after they resumed their second innings at an overnight total of 135-4 today.
With just 24 runs to chase, Mumbai openers AA Hrewadkar (18) and SS Iyer (6) completed the task in just 5 overs without losing any wicket at the Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadeyar Ground here.
Earlier, resuming their second innings at 135/4, Railways lost Nitin Bhille in the 67th over by Thakur. In the 81st over, Faiz Ahmed too was back in the hut when he was caught by Suryakumar Yadav as Railways slipped to 170-6.
Five overs later, Karn Sharma was then cleaned up by Sandhu and in the next over Ashish Yadav too departed after being caught by Kaustubh Pawar. Amit Mishra and Deepak Bansal too was dismissed cheaply after Railways crossed the 200-mark.
