Mumbai beat Services by six wickets in Vijay Hazare

Mumbai came up with a fine bowling and batting display to register a comfortable six-wicket win over Services in their Group A match of the Vijay Hazare One-Day cricket tournament, here today.
After bundling out Services for 151, Mumbai made short work of their chase to gallop to their target in 25.2 overs.
Electing to field at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Mumbai bowlers made it count with new-ball bowler Shardul Thakur picking up four wicket.
Dhawal Kulkarni, Shashank Singh and Iqbal Abdullah also chipped in with two wickets each as Services batting folded in 42.1 overs.
Opener Nakul Verma struck a patient 50, while Rajat Paliwal (41) and Saumya Swain (28) also made significant contributions as rest of the Services batsmen failed to manage double figures.
The Aditya Tare-led side then got down to business right away with opener Akhil Herwadkar top-scoring with 46 runs while in-form Shreyas Iyer also contributed a quick fire 35.
