The team 'Aerosols' of Anjuman-I-Islam's M H Saboo Siddik College of Engineering in Mumbai stood first in Asia in the international competition held on March 13-14 at Lakeland, Florida, USA, said a release here.
The annual event, held since 1986, was organized by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International in cooperation with Lockheed Martin, USA and Dassault Systems, France, the release said.
Altogether 75 teams from all over the world participated in this mega event. Among them were IIT Mumbai, IIT Kanpur and VIT Vellore, the release said.
Commenting on the achievement of the students, the President of the Anjuman-i-Islam Dr Zahir I Kazi said, "other students will get inspired from these achievements and they will also showcase their talents to get reward and recognition worldwide. The team has been performing consistently and the college is proud of them."
Last year, the Saboo Siddik Students stood first in Micro Class at International Level and First in Asia in Advanced Class. "Also, in 2013, we were first in Asia," Kazi said.
