Mumbai, Kolkata bag double crowns in RFYS Football Nationals

Father Agnel School & Junior College, Mumbai bagged double title in the Senior Girls and Boys categories finals in the inaugural Reliance Foundation Youth Sports National Football Championship at the Cooperage ground here.
Chowbagha High School and Charuchandra College once again regained supreme over arch rivals from Kochi to bag home twin titles in the Junior and College Boys category, a media release issued here said.
It was a disappointing day for the Kochi boys. Despite having made it to the finals in three categories, the boys fell short at the last hurdle only to finish as runners up.
Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar along with Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham joined Nita Ambani, Founder & Chairperson Reliance Foundation Youth Sports to grace the occasion on the final day.
In the College Boys category, Charuchandra College (Kolkata) defeated Nirmala College (Kochi) 2-1.
In the Senior Girls category, Fr. Agnel School & Junior College won against Rosary Higher Secondary School (Goa) 1-0.
In the Junior Boys category, Chowbagha HS (Kolkata) comprehensively defeated Sacred Heart HSSS (Kochi) 7-0.
Finally in the Senior Boys section Fr. Agnel School & Junior College (Mumbai) won on penalties 4-2 against Govt. HSS, Panampally Nagar (Kochi) after the two team were tied at 1-1.
