Instituted as part of the National Press Club awards for excellence in journalism, the award will be bestowed on him by Union HRD, Communication & IT Minister Kapil Sibal here tomorrow, a release said.
The national awards for excellence will also be given away to meritorious journalists in six categories of print journalism ranging from politics to cricket writing and entertainment.
Over 500 entries from all over the country were short-listed and judged by distinguished juries that were set up in each category.
The awards evening will include a debate: 'Is the Chase for News in the Right Direction?' It will be hosted by Times Now Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami and will include media veterans Vinod Mehta, Star TV CEO Uday Shankar and M J Akbar.
