A senior inspector and three others of Kasturba Marg police station in the northern suburb of Borivali were placed under suspension for failure to keep illegal activities in the area under control, an official said Monday.
The order to suspend Senior Inspector Sanjeev Pimple, two officers and one head constable was issued by Additional Commissioner of Police (North) Dilip Sawant.
These officers failed to control dance bar activities in Borivali East area, which falls within the jurisdiction of Kasturba Marg police station.
Recently, a police team had raided a dance bar in the area and rescued 20 victims, an official said.
